"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. This “Waiting on Wednesday” post is about:
Reached (Matched #3) by Ally Condie
Release Date: November 13, 2012
Goodreads
Synopsis (if you haven’t read Matched and Crossed skip the synopsis. There be spoilers!):
Cassia faces the ultimate choices in the long-anticipated conclusion to the "New York Times" bestselling Matched Trilogy.
After leaving Society and desperately searching for the Rising--and each other--Cassia and Ky have found what they were looking for, but at the cost of losing each other yet again: Cassia has been assigned to work for the Rising from within Society, while Ky has been stationed outside its borders. But nothing is as predicted, and all too soon the veil lifts and things shift once again.
In this gripping conclusion to the #1 "New York Times" bestselling Matched Trilogy, Cassia will reconcile the difficulties of challenging a life too confining, seeking a freedom she never dreamed possible, and honoring a love she cannot live without.
My pick for this week does not cause me to abandon my tenuous grip on my sanity. That’s right folks! When it comes to Reached I am calm and normal and human-like. I want this book because I read the first two and I am curious as to how the whole thing will conclude. So far I think the Matched series is okay and even if this series doesn’t get me all flailly and shrieky, I hate not finishing a series. Besides, I still need Reached so that Curiosity doesn’t kill me.I believe there is a saying that goes perfectly with what I just said: “Curiosity is a cat that will kill you if you don’t feed it. Don’t get killed, feed your Curiosity.” I don’t want to get killed, so I must read Reached! … Wow! I feel accomplished! There is no trace of weirdness in this post! When it comes to being normal, I am a ninja!
To celebrate my success at being normal, I am going to slow dance on my neighbor’s yard! Winning!

It is slow, isn't it! It could have been a great deal more exciting, but despite this, I still need to know the ending! So it looks like we are on the same page!

I actually have both Matched and Crossed sitting on my shelf! I started Matched a while ago but didn't really get into it at first- maybe I'll try again some time soon :) Awesome choice.
