Today the Song is “Hardest of Hearts” by Florence and the Machine and the book is Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare.
Last week I chose “No Light, No Light” by Florence and the Machine as a song that reminded me of Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. Today I turn to Florence and the Machine once again because not only are they awesome, their music also has the depth and emotion that makes them the perfect companion for the books in The Infernal Devices series. I believe “Hardest of Hearts” perfectly captures the many complicated feelings provoked by the developments in Clockwork Prince. Specifically, this song reminds me of Will and Tessa. Let us hope that once Clockwork Princess comes out and I have finished reading it I will be able to associate it with songs that are of a happier nature…please!, Please, PLEASE, just let it be a happy ending!
